Magic Wheelchair is a nonprofit organization that creates monumental costumes for kids in wheelchairs.
Isn’t that awesome?!! Magic Wheelchair was founded by Ryan “The Dude” Weimer, who spent years building costumes for 3 of his children (his oldest son is pictured above) who have Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Their mission is to give kids in wheelchairs an unforgettable Halloween by creating costumes for nothing but a smile in exchange. The organization gets help from volunteers all around the country, including big supporters like Stan Winston School of Character Arts, Novation Law, and Moorph Productions. If interested in volunteering, CLICK HERE. For kids that want a costume designed by Magic Wheelchair, they can submit a short video talking about what they want to be for Halloween and why.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday!
